NEU!    Die "gelbe 14" wird der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt   (09.06.2002)

Am 18. Mai 2002 wurde die Messerschmitt BF 109 "gelbe 14" erstmals der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt. Bei strahlendem Sonnenschein war die nunmehr kurz vor dem Erstflug stehende Rarität ein Publikumsmagnet beim Armed Forces Day auf dem Wiley Post Airport in Oklahoma City. This pictures were taken at the Armed Forces Day Celebration, Wiley Post Airport, May 18, 2002. As You can see the restoration of the "yellow 14" is finished. Messerschmitt Bf 109 "gelbe 14"   (13.01.2002)

In Kürze ist die Amerikanische Airshowszene um eine Sensation reicher: Die eigentlich aus Spanischer Produktion (Hispano Aviation HA 1112) stammende Maschine wird originalgetreu lackiert in den Farben des berühmten Jagdfliegerasses Hans-Joachim Marseille vom JG 27, der als "Stern von Afrika" berühmt wurde. Eigentümer der Bf 109 ist die Commemorative Air Force (vormals Confederate Air Force). Anstelle des ansonsten üblichen CAF-Wings wird das Projekt von den Sponsoren Dr. Brent Hisey und Dan Lawson am Wiley Post Airport in Oklahoma City verwirklicht. Die Fotos entstanden am 05.01.2002.

American Airshow-Visitors will see a special highlight in the skies, soon. It is a very rare Messerschmitt Bf 109, painted in the colours of the German WWII fighter ace Hans-Joachim Marseille, the famous "Star of Africa". Owner of this plane is the Commemorative Air Force (former Confederate Air Force) and instead of a CAF Wing the project is sponsored by Dr. Brent Hisey and Dan Lawson. The team of these two Warbird Enthusiasts is working hard on the restoration of the Spanish built Bf 109  (Hispano Aviation HA 1112) in a hangar at the Wiley Post Airport in Oklahoma City. Dr. Brent Hisey and Dan Lawson will be also the only two pilots to fly this great plane when the works are finished.
